Jonathan DuBois is a Vancouver-based freelance Producer and Line Producer, renowned for navigating the intricate landscape of feature film production. Possessing a zeal for embracing new challenges, Jonathan boasts over a decade of experience planning and supervising productions with budgets spanning from $1 to $20 million dollars.
Jonathan's journey in the realm of filmmaking began with the Disney Channel Games, where he started as a production assistant and swiftly ascended the ranks to the role of coordinator, eventually transitioning to an assistant producer. It was here that he honed his craft and cultivated a profound appreciation for narratives that captivate and enthral audiences.
In 2008, armed with dual citizenship of the USA and Canada, Jonathan embarked on a new chapter in Vancouver, British Columbia, to further his cinematic endeavours. Teaming up with Navid Soofi, he played a pivotal role in the inception of Qube Film, where he oversaw and supervised an array of feature films, television movies, and commercials.
Jonathan's expertise garnered attention, leading him to a collaboration with Kirk Shaw at Odyssey Media. It was during this time that Jonathan delved into the intricacies of co-productions, culminating in the production of "POUND OF FLESH" in 2015, a cinematic venture shot entirely in Mainland China and headlined by action star Jean-Claude Van Damme.
With a reputation for steering productions seamlessly within budgetary constraints flourished, he helmed numerous made-for-television movies such as "CHRISTMAS TRUCE", "STOLEN DREAMS", and the charming romantic comedy "HEART FELT", which unfolded against the picturesque backdrop of Osoyoos, BC, strategically leveraging the Regional Tax incentives of British Columbia.
Bolstered by an extensive network of industry contacts across North America, Jonathan founded Frequency Productions Inc., a dynamic Film & Entertainment company dedicated to servicing productions in British Columbia. With a grasp for navigating Canadian Film and Television Tax Credit incentives, he captured the attention of WWE Studios.
In 2016, Jonathan embarked on a collaborative venture with WWE Studios, serving as the linchpin in the production of "MARINE 5: BATTLEGROUND", which heralded his transition into co-producing with the Tim Disney-directed feature, "WILLIAM". This marked a pivotal juncture in Jonathan's career, affording him a deeper immersion in the creative facets of Low Budget Theatrical Productions.
During the pandemic, Jonathan's expertise was sought after by Netflix, where he contributed to two independent horror thriller projects, "Hypnotic", produced by Michael Luisi, and "The Last Will and Testament of Charles Abernathy", produced by Paul Schiff.
Currently, Jonathan has been collaborating with Oddfellows Pictures on numerous productions including "Little Fish," "LongLegs", and the eagerly awaited Stephen King's "The Monkey".
